Fire Regulations

All exhibitors must comply with Colorado Convention Center fire regulations. Non-compliance may result in removal of materials from the show floor.
General Fire Regulations
  1. All decorative materials must be flame-retardant or treated with an approved flame-retardant process. Documentation must be available upon request.
  2. No open flames of any kind are permitted without prior written approval from show management and the Fire Marshal.
  3. All electrical equipment must be UL listed. Extension cords must be three-wire grounded type, in good condition and of sufficient capacity.
  4. Combustible materials must not be stored on the show floor during show hours.
  5. Empty packing crates must be properly tagged and stored in designated areas only.
  6. Exhibitors operating cooking equipment must have a fire extinguisher in their booth.
  7. All exits, aisles, and fire-fighting equipment must remain accessible and clear at all times.
  8. Vehicles or equipment containing flammable fuels must comply with specific requirements regarding fuel levels and battery disconnection.
  9. Compressed gas cylinders must be secured upright and stored appropriately.
  10. Portable electric space heaters are not permitted on the show floor.
Booth Construction

All booth materials must be non-combustible or flame-retardant. Natural wood, certain fabrics, and some plastics may require flame-retardant treatment. Multi-story or enclosed booth structures require prior approval and may require Fire Marshal permits.
